I have a media server that stores the movies with a folder for each movie. Inside each folder are the jpg for the front and back cover as well as a folder.jpg that is the same as the front cover. My HTPC runs Win 7 with media center. In the movies tab, most of the movies display with the front cover image, but about 1% are blank blue squares. If I click on the movie it has all the information except the front cover. The front cover is actually present in the folders and seems fine. When I open Collection Management on the server the front image displays and it looks fine.
I had some issue with the NIC on the HTPC, and ended up replacing it. I don't remember if the front cover issue started when the intermittent NIC problems started. It might have started when I upgraded from My Movies 4 to 5. It has been I while and I have just lived with it.
It seems if I go into the movie and select the front cover again and save it that fixes the problem. Any idea if there is an automated way to fix this? Is this a corruption in the database?

Is this a corruption in the database? This might very well be an automated solution for you. From the Collection Management application go to "Tools > Options > Media Center PC > Cover Style". Change the cover style and hit apply. All the cover art shown in WMC will then be rebuilt. If you don't want to change the cover style you may be able to just select the same cover style and hit apply. Worse case you just run it twice to revert back to the cover style you were using prior.
