I had a DVD of "The Shawshank Redemption" in MyMovies. The Title entry has an linked Movie. I also have a 4K UHD disc of the film in MyMovies, with that Title also having a linked Movie. The 4K UHD allowed a Digital copy, which I redeemed. I entered the Digital copy on my iOS client, and all three were now displayed on my Windows MyMovies app properly

Initial state:

• "The Shawshank Redemption" (DVD) -- My Movies Title record with a unique sequence number
- MyMovies Movie record with no sequence number
• "The Shawshank Redemption" (4K UHD) -- MyMovies Title record with a unique sequence number
- MyMovies Movie record with no sequence number
• "The Shawshank Redemption" (Digital Copy) -- MyMovies Movie record synched from iOS app with a unique sequence number

Since I no longer needed the DVD, I gave it away and deleted the Title record (which automatically deletes the linked Movie record). If there is no Digital copy record, this always works without problem. However, what I have noticed happening if there is a Digital copy present is that the DVD Title+Movie gets deleted, AND the sequence number gets stripped off the Digital copy. I've seen this happen three times now.

End state, after DVD record is deleted: (see attached)

• "The Shawshank Redemption" (4K UHD) -- MyMovies Title record with a unique sequence number
- MyMovies Movie record no sequence number
• "The Shawshank Redemption" (Digital Copy) -- MyMovies Movie record now with missing sequence number

To fix this, I have to delete the Digital copy off of the iOS app, synch all my devices, re-add the Digital copy on the iOS app, and re-synch all the devices again. This results in my Title+Movie for the 4K UHD physical copy and Movie for the Digital copy all being displayed properly with sequence numbers.

In the attached screen shot, notice how my Digital copies of "The Shape of Water" and "Shaun of the Dead" each have unique sequence numbers as top-level records. Notice how it is stripped off of "The Shawshank Redemption" Digital copy record.

Is this a known problem? Is there a new point release update that might fix this? Let me know if you need further information.

Any help with this one? I’m trying to prune my physical discs over time and this is creating a mess in my database. Is there a workaround besides deleting and re-adding my Digital Movie whenever I delete a physical Title? Thanks.

Please let me know if I can provide any detailed info or capture to help solve this. It is a growing problem as I transition to more digital content and paring down my physical collection, and it is massively screwing up synchronization and corrupting my database. Thanks.
