Is there someplace that the MyMovies / AnyDVD* interaction is documented?

I have some questions about what exactly is happening now that AnyDVD* is no longer getting new keys.

I've known for some time, that I needed AnyDVD* on my Server as well as the player system. It's not clear to me why.

What is the process that starts with me inserting a disc in my Server and, and then mounting the ISO and playing it back via PowerDVD?

What does the server use AnyDVD* for in the creation of the ISO image?

What does the the player system (with PowerDVD) use AnyDVD* for?

How does any of this impact a Dune HD device and it's ability to play ISOs?

I understand that you're (Binnerup) not doing any further development on the windows/server functionality so, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of my current situation (all of the ISOs I have on my server), and my future options (ripping discs in the future and, possibly getting a Dune HD).

With Regards,

Jonathan

This is not something we are going to spend time documenting, sorry.

You will have to consider this as not working when AnyDVD* is not working.

The players do not however use AnyDVD* once the title is copied when AnyDVD* was active.

when running powerdvd anydvd* has to be running actively in the background unless you removed the discs protections. If you kept the protections on the disc when creating the iso anydvd* has to be running when playing powerdvd. For cinavia discs anydvd* has to be running so that powerdvd doesn't throw an cinavia warnings.

There are people on the doom9 forum that can provide more in depth knowledge regarding anydvd* decrypting.
