I am creating a new forum posting, as the last one got old and had not been responded to in 6 months. https://www.mymovies.dk/forum.aspx?g=posts&t=47426Lists are still having weird things happen, with lists created disappearing from the public "Discover Lists" section over time. Not sure what is happening but I have been tracking the lists that I have created and can give you dates when I have checked and the changes that have happened on the service side of things as I am seeing them. Not sure what is happening on your end. To date I have created 31 lists (probably more in total but some have been deleted and recreated) and have clicked yes to "Public" to share them all, so they should all show up in the Discover Lists section. Only 25 of the 31 I have created show. When doing a search for the "missing" lists there is no result. When I go to the lists that I still have in my collection under "Public Lists" all 31 show up, none are found under "Personal Lists", that area is blank. Why are all 31 that I have in my collection and shared with everyone not showing in the "Discover Lists" area? When I did my inventory on 10/28/2024 the following 4 lists that I created were missing: James Bond Collection Marvel Cinematic Universe Planet of the Apes Evolution Collection Wizarding World Collection When I did my inventory Today, 12/30/2024, two more lists are now missing that were not missing on 10/28/2024: Alfred Hitchcock CollectionJames Bond Collection Marvel Cinematic Universe Planet of the Apes Evolution Collection Studio Ghibli CollectionWizarding World Collection The Alfred Hitchcock Collection was created a couple days/weeks before the 10/28/2024 inventory, and the Studio Ghibli Collection was re-created around 9/6/2024, as it was missing since the original May 9, 2024 forum posting and the continued correspondence back and forth since. It was determined to not have been seen on your end per the previous forum discussion, so I started over and deleted the list showing in my collection and created an entirely new one and shared it again with the public. I know these list were public at some point in time, as when seeing them in my personal list section they have many likes from the public. Alfred Hitchcock Collection - 7 LikesJames Bond Collection - 20 LikesMarvel Cinematic Universe - 30 LikesPlanet of the Apes Evolution Collection - 20 LikesStudio Ghibli Collection - 15 Likes (a second time, as there were likes with the previous list too before I deleted it) Wizarding World Collection - 10 LikesWhere are these list going? Go ahead and sync my collection on your end if needed to see what I am seeing. I am sure you would ask that in subsequent correspondence anyway, so just getting that out of the way now. Also want to note that when you open a list and tap on the creator username, which brings up the user info page, and then tap on the "Lists" link at the bottom right of the screen only 20 lists show on the next page. I would expect as least 25 Lists based on the above discussion, and really 31 lists created by me should show, not 20. Can you look into this? I am holding off on upgrading my Android version as I rarely use that device anymore and am mostly using iOS devices now, but want to let you know that the functionality of Lists is paramount in my decision to not upgrade that device. Hoping this is fixed by the time the next version of iOS is ready for upgrade... Thanks, Joe.

Also when editing any one of the existing Lists in my collection that I have created, if I attempt to remove it from "Public" by checking "No", it first appears to save when selecting "update", but then when exiting the list and then re-entering the list the "no" selection has not been saved and the list has not been moved from "Public" to "Personal". So, this feature does not seem to be working at all.
Once you select "Public-yes" there is no turning back unless you completely delete the list from the system. Maybe I am misunderstanding how this feature works?

Any progress/answers on this issue? I am assuming that it is ikely a bug that needs to be fixed, or a feature not being supported anymore, due to non-response since July 2024?

I will now add another weird thing I just noticed with Lists.
The missing Public list I have created, "Studio Ghibli Collection", mentioned earlier, now has 21 Likes when I see it in my Public Lists. So how has this list been liked 6 more times since 12/30/24 but when I search for it in Discover Lists, I get no result that it even exists? Is the search not working? Are there just things that I can't see that others can? Weird, as I run the app on two different devices (iPhone and iPad) and get the same results on both.
Seems like I am discussing this with myself, as there have been no responses since July regarding this topic in two separate forum posts...hmm. Is this feature being deprecated from the apps?

I did another inventory of Lists and things are changing again, without me doing anything to them in the last 2 months.
Again when you open a list and tap on the creator username, which brings up the user info page, and then tap on the "Lists" link at the bottom right of the screen only 20 lists show on the next page. As there has been no response to this thread at all i assume that this is a limitation of the sofware, or a bug.
Now, the 20 personal lists that show when selecting my username has differet results than before. There are two "new" titles that show, and two titles that used to show that don't show anymore.
New showing: Spider-Man Collection and Monty Python Collection. Now NOT showing: Pokemon Collection and View Askewinverse.
Is this a known issue or bug, and why does this change from month to month? Very weird behavior in the app.
Due to previous non-response I am beginning to think that this is a feature that is not being used by anyone but me, so is of very little importance to the app developers, and doesn't warrant a response? Or, there will be no more feature modifications, this is simply how it will work moving forward, limitations/bugs and all, also not warranting a response?

We do not have any knowledge of issues in changing of lists. We did have an issue some time ago on Android, but on Android specifically where editing a list could cause it to loose titles. However, are you sure that your lists is not showing in discover, or is it as simple as they not being shown in top pages? The lists presented in the overview is not simply showing based on likes, but based on when they were created, combined with likes - so a list created recently is ranged higher than lists created a long time ago, even with the same amount of likes. We can take out a few specific lists and look specifically on those? Having trouble installing or upgrading to My Movies 5? Click here for troubleshooting.Having a problem? Alfred Hitchcock Collection is marked deleted, Studio Ghibli Collection is also marked deleted. Are you saying you did not delete these? When you delete a list, and, you are the owner of it, the app should prompt you if you want to remove the list from the service - this will delete it. I can say that "Alfred Hitchcock Collection" was not marked global, and it was deleted on 2024-10-31 20:57:02.400. Having trouble installing or upgrading to My Movies 5? I can confirm that I have 31 Lists in my collection, that I have created, and all 31 show in my personal list area. I had also clicked public on each list I created when completed. When I go to discover, I specifically search for the list as noted in my personal/public list section, and that is where I am seeeing that some are missing, they don't show up in a search query at all. Search for any of the following in Discover Lists, and none show up created by me, or at all. But, they are some of the 31 lists in my personal collection, which are all checked "Public": Alfred Hitchcock Collection James Bond Collection Marvel Cinematic Universe (there are several others that come up named similarly or exactly the same, but with different movies and not mine) Planet of the Apes Evolution Collection Studio Ghibli Collection (two similarly named lists come up but none named exactly the same as mine) Wizarding World Collection Of the 31, you state that 9 are marked public. What does that mean, not sure where the 9 is coming from? I have marked all 31 lists as public, so shouldn't they all be marked public on your end, they are on my end? If there are only 9 that are marked public why do I see more than that when I am in discover, I see 25 of the 31 when doing a search query for each one, not 9... weird?? I have not deleted any lists once they were created as far as I can remember, and they still show in my collection in my personal lists, so they weren't deleted on my end. Why would they show as deleted on your end but still show in my collection? Even if i deleted them, wouldn't they then not show in my collection as well as the public area? What gets me wondering what is going on is that the Alfred Hitchcock Collection shows that it has 7 Likes, so at one point wouldn't it have been a public list for 7 users to click like? Same for the other "missing" lists above. Attached are screenshots of both Hitchcock and Ghibli showing that they are marked public on my end. File Attachment(s):

I am sorry, I mis-informed here - the "global" bit I was looking at is the language wise global, not if it is public. All of your 31 lists were created as public - 6 have been marked deleted. Odd is that it is not deleted in your end. I am considering if the issue here could be if a user adds your list, then removes it, and app prompts if it should also be deleted from the service, if that is what could be occurring. I need to check that there is a security on it only being the owner that can do that, I believe there is, but I am not certain. The way deletion works means that a title can be deleted in the service, without it being deleted for you - it is a bit technical, but we never delete stuff, but we mark it deleted, and it becomes unavailable. This is to ensure that a title that was incorrectly contributed or similar does not suddenly disappear from users collections. The same thing with the 6 deleted lists here - they are marked deleted, and therefore can be in your collection. Should I undelete these? Having trouble installing or upgrading to My Movies 5? This is exactly it - good find. When another user adds your list to their collection, and delete it, they get the prompt (incorrectly) if the list should be deleted from the service. If they do that, they actually delete your list from the service. I have been able to identify the deletion dates, by checking when a list was deleted, and comparing it to when other users than the creator deleted the list from their collection, and if that was within short time (I took an hour) of the deletion marking of the actual list, I reverted the delete. This restored all the titles of yours that was deleted. So, I am not going to ensure the check that this cannot happen. Thank you for finding this, and thank you for being persistent on it. Thanks for fixing the deleted Lists. I was suspecting that someone else deleted the 6 Lists in question. I think I mentioned that might be the issue very early on in the first forum post. I have verified that they are now all back. Huzzahh!!
There is even a duplicate, on the public side, of the Studio Ghibli list, both created by me. Back in September 2024 I decided that I would delete the one in my collection on the personal side, that apparently was deleted on the public side by someone else, and created a new one, which then was also deleted a month or two later. Just informing that I will delete one of these Lists, so there is no duplicate version on the public side of things. No need for two exactly same lists contributed by the same person taking up space.
The other issue in this thread was the 20 List limitation.
When you open a public list and tap on the creator username, which brings up the user info page, and then tap on the "Lists" link at the bottom right of the screen only 20 lists show on the next page. I would expect 31 Lists created by me should show, not 20.
Can you look into this too, or is this just a limitation of the programming?

This would be an eternal scrolling list, meaning that when you scroll to the bottom, it should query for more items. 20 is just the amount of items it gets per request. This is not how it is working now for me. I have left my phone/app open for a few minutes, and scrolled up and down the list of 20, and it does not query more than that. This seems to only happen when you open a public list and tap on the creator username, which brings up the user info page, and then tap on the "Lists" link at the bottom right of the screen only 20 lists show on the next page. I scroll to the bottom of the list counting 20 Lists and that is all that happens. I would expect 31 Lists created by me should eventually show, per your indication of an expected continual scrolling and new querys, but it just stops. Screen caps of where I am selecting attached, so you can test on your end. File Attachment(s):
