I have a problem. My Movies wants to install SQL Server 2014, but it always fails with an error code. When I then manually start the server installation under Windows 11, it runs without errors, but My Movies cannot connect to the database.

After some research on Microsoft, SQL Server 2014 is no longer supported by Windows 11. How can I fix this?

Even with the standalone installation, the program wants to install the SQL Server.

The program always requires SQL Server.

Please post a screenshot of the error you get.

Question does it specifically require sql server 2014? Or can the database be migrated to sql server 2019 (or newer)?

Ideally just by changing a connection string to point to the newer server?

It does require 2014 - the issue here is that it is not just a connection string - it has own passwords, ect. to avoid users editing in the database, which can lead to issues in the service.
