Hello,
sorry first for any inconvenience if this is wrong here or already has been asked. I am new on this plattform, from Germany and my English my be a little bit rusted Laughing
I use the app to sort my movies since a few weeks, found it within a comment on blu-ray-disc.de
Now I would like to sort my movies on my shelves alphabetically. Atm the is a horrendous disorder. I'd like to do this alphabetically.
But: I'd even like to sort movies a little bit custom.
Just an example.

Snow white and the Huntsman
and
The Huntsman & the Ice Queen

Those are alphabetically not next to each other. I know I can add #numbers to my movies myself. But if I add other movies later I'd had to renumber hundreds of other movies.....
So I'd like to "rename" such movies only for my own collection e.g. to:

Huntsman I - Snow white and the Huntsman
and
Huntsman II - The Huntsman & the Ice Queen

to sort them in that row on my shelves. Is this possible somehow?
However thank you in advance.
Have a nice day out there

regards
JoJo

You can use the “Personal Data” fields to create personal sort titles to list films in whatever order you like without impacting other users.

Thank you - I#ve seen that. But how can I sort my list with personal data?

By populating your “Personal Data” with both “Title” and “Sort Title” with the display and sorting information you prefer, when you sort by Title, it will display in your preferred order.

For example, I like to have my BFI Flipside titles displayed all together rather than scattershot throughout my collection, so in my “Personal Data” I have preceded each “Title” and “Sort Title” with the text “Flipside xxx:”. See the attached image for how it displays.

Remember, for box sets, you would also need to modify your “Personal Data” for the child records as well as the parent record for everything to work properly.
