Geat find - but how do you use the vob file as an intro and keep the 5.1 sound? If I convert to mpeg I'm losing the surround sound - which kind of defeats the object!

Thanks starwarp, we have covered that before and many of us (myself inluded) have used the prefabbed .blenders to do this as well. But some people like to have the DTS, THX, etc.... intros in addition...again, myself included...to make it like a true theatre experience.
Thanks again for pointing this out to people who might not have seen it in the previous thread...and is now in a stickied thread :)

You must be only saving the project. From the menu choose Save Movie instead of Save Project. There are several profiles to choose when saving the actual movie file.

I got that to work, but now when i goto add it as a trailor or intro(they are wmv) they do not show up in the list of files in collection management. Any help to get these files to work as intros and trailors in collection management would be much appreciated.

I started a thread last week on Vipid.me which is a website that allows you to customize and generate intro's (including the 20th Century Fox one) in a matter of minutes instead of hours like in blender. This includes the audio portion, so in five minutes give or take your intro is complete. The site is currently in alpha testing, but the developer is offering invites on youtube.

It seems that the OP's link to that website (or the website itself) is now dead... Anyone know of a good place to find similar?

I made one of these for my theater, but cannot figure out how to get it to play just before a movie starts. Where do I point my movies to make it recognize and play this file before starting whatever movie I choose to watch? Thanks!!!

Thx M8 MAS0031 I have the same intro for my Man Cave You need to configure this in collection management under tools (I forgot the exact name - I am at work sorry) There are 2 entries intro - this entry allow a number of intro videos to be played - before the main movie starts trailers - this entry allows a numbe rof trailers downloaded from the internet to be played - before the main movie starts For both, you can configure the path, the number of videos to play, and also have a choice to randomize the files I put my trailers under intro configured to play one file I put my intros under trailers configured to play 5 files - randomized. The reason I switched them around is that mymovies plays the intro first and then play the trailers and then play the main movie. I want to play my trailers first - so I configure them as intros then I play my intro (before my main movie starts) - so I configured is as a single trailers Then the main movie starts Sorry it took so long for a reply. I only login now and then. If my explanations are not helpful, then PM me.

Also if you have multiple intros (like I do) You can choose multiple files and randomize them The key is to select only 1 file to play. In this way every time the main movie start, you can show off you intro PS I am trying to augment this intro with a video that tells the audience to shutp up, turn off their cell phones, grab popcorn etc Any idea where I can get this video (in high def and free of course (heh heh heh)
